This Gun/Knife Defense program is intended for anyone who may encounter an armed attack. Advanced principle-based training techniques focus on why various techniques work. This approach helps you develop the ability to find new ways to apply the principles in new and different situations. As a result you are better prepared to apply these self-defense skills in more situations. Armed assaults represent a significant threat to your survival. Effective defense against an armed assailant requires effective technique based on sound principles and a realistic understanding of the likelihood of being injured in the fight. You will learn to focus on controlling the movement, power and balance of your adversary while minimizing your exposure to the threat and disarming the assailant in a variety of common attacks. By developing an understanding of the principles involved you will be able to apply them in a variety of situations that may not have been covered in class.. Key Benefits
Student Eligibility: Current commissioned peace officers, current CHL holders, currently commissioned security guards and civilians with proof of clean criminal history. On-site in-service training available for law enforcement agencies. All course participants will be required to submit proof of good character in accordance with DTG Policies. A 10% discount will be given for enrollment in multiple courses or enrollment of 2 or more in the same course. Enrollments must be purchased at the same time to receive the discount.
